Lipomas are common and rarely harmful. One in every thousand people develop lipomas in their lifetime. They typically do not require treatment, but if they bother an individual, are painful, or are growing again, an individual should treat them.

Lipomas are fatty tissues under the skin. They are visible and can be noticed easily. They are soft, circular or oval-shaped fatty lumps under the skin. The size of lipomas varies from pea size to a size of a strawberry. Generally, lipomas develop on the shoulders, chest, neck or back. They can develop on any area of the skin.

Good Diet for Lipoma

A healthy diet goes a long way avoiding diseases and maintaining a healthy weight. Food doesn’t directly impact the growth of lipomas, but the size of lipomas may depend on the overall weight of an individual. Lipomas develop due to the overgrowth of fatty tissues, the limitation of fatty food may help to get rid of lipomas. Inflammation can also contribute to the development of lipomas. Food that reduces inflammation can also contribute to reducing the growth of lipomas.

  • Accumulation of Fats should be avoided. Dairy products like ice cream, butter, heavy cream, chocolate, and junk food should be avoided. Sugar and artificial sweeteners in all these foods enter the bloodstream and convert into fats. Getting rid of sugary fats may prevent the development of lipomas.
  • Processed food and packaged food increase the tendency of toxins in the body. All these foods have preservatives and additives. The liver gets overburdened and unable to remove all the toxins from the fatty tissues of lipoma.
  • The food that we eat can significantly affect inflammation in the body. Some foods with certain ingredients can trigger inflammation, so let’s discuss some of them first.
  • White bread, pasta, pastries, sweets, some cereals, cakes, cookies, and all processed foods that contain added sugar or flour, are examples of refined carbs.
  • Sodas, soft drinks and all other sweetened beverages
  • Red meat and processed meat like hot dogs
  • Some vegetable oil like soybean oil
  • Processed snack foods like chips and crackers
  • Artificial trans fats such as margarine, shortenings
  • Foods with gluten may trigger the symptoms of inflammation
  • Plants in the nightshade plant family, such as eggplant, peppers, and potatoes, should also be avoided. Despite the limited evidence to support this, a person can try removing them from their diet to see if their symptoms improve.
  • Anti-inflammatory food helps to manage inflammation in the body.
  • Fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, cherries, avocadoes, grapes,
  • Vegetables like spinach, kale, broccoli, mushrooms, sweet potatoes
  • Fatty fish like tuna, salmon, sardines
  • Beans, nuts, Chia and flax seeds
  • Healthy oils like olive oil
  • Spices like Turmeric, black peppercorns, cinnamon, ginger
  • Dark chocolate and coffee
  • Green tea

Drink More Water

Hydration is necessary for a healthy body. 75% of the human body is made up of water, and when the body gets dehydrated, it can lead to severe health problems. Water helps the liver and kidneys to work efficiently and to get rid of toxins and waste materials. If extra fats and toxins are getting out regularly, it also affects lipoma and its development in future.

Home Remedies for Lipoma

  • In traditional Ayurvedic medicine, Turmeric has been used for several skin problems like acne, eczema, psoriasis and lipomas. Make a paste with half tsp of turmeric powder + half tsp of coconut oil\caster oil. Apply the paste to the affected area and cover it with a cloth for some time. Wash it out after a while.
  • Add two to three spoons of apple cider vinegar to a warm glass of water and drink it daily. Evidence suggests it could aid weight loss, reduce cholesterol, decrease blood sugar levels and cleanse the blood. That means it helps to dissolve fatty tissues in the skin.
  • Make a paste of flour and honey, and apply it to the affected area. Cover it with a cloth for some time. Wash it after a while.
  • This is one of the best remedies to get rid of lipoma. Add three ingredients together 1/2 tsp Neem oil + 1/2 tsp flaxseed oil + 1 tsp of green tea. Apply the mixture to the area of the influence. Repeat this mixture for a few days continuously for good results.
  • Aloe vera gel can also help to shrink lipoma. Apply fresh gel on the area of the lipoma.

Treatment of Lipoma

Lipoma is a painless fatty tissue that can be left untreated if it does not bother an individual. However, there are several procedures to get rid of lipomas let’s discuss some of them.

  • Lipomas can be removed through surgery. Small lipomas can be easily treated with surgery. Large-size lipomas may encroach on nerves and blood vessels to make surgery invasive.
  • Liposuction is a safer way to treat lipoma. This procedure involves a needle and a large syringe to suck out the fatty tissues.
  • Steroid injections can also be used to treat lipoma. The treatment can shrink lipoma, but it does not entirely remove it. I never recommend steroid injections as they have many side effects.

Hijama Cupping Therapy

Hijama cupping therapy is a popular alternative treatment in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation and activate lymphatic drainage. The vacuum created on the skin during the process aids in increasing the blood circulation of the affected area.

Hijama cupping therapy plays a crucial role in managing inflammation in the body. Inflammation is a key contributor to getting rid of lipoma. Hijama points for inflammation should be performed 3 to 4 times repeatedly.

Hijama cupping therapy removes congestion, toxins, and waste from the body. Toxin removal promotes healing. Cupping draws blood, fresh nutrients, and oxygen to the affected area. When fresh oxygen is delivered to the cells, tissues, and lymphatic system, it produces antibodies. All of these factors work together to heal the skin, whether acne, pimples or lipomas Hijama works for all skin issues.

The liver is our largest internal organ responsible for crucial functions like filtering harmful chemicals from food, removing toxins from the bloodstream and storing energy. Hijama increases blood circulation and reduces pressure on the liver by eliminating toxins from the bloodstream. When toxins and extra fats are removed from the body, the chances of developing lipomas are equal to zero. Targeting sunnah points is essential for the removal of toxins.

Experience with a Lipoma Patient

I am sharing one of the Hijama practitioner’s experiences with a lipoma patient. She put eight dry cups on the back and one dry cup exactly on the area of the lipoma. Dry cups were there for 8 to 10 minutes. Then incisions were performed on all 9 points. This procedure was repeated for three months continuously. The dry cup that was applied to the area of lipoma, when incisions were made on that point, the bubble of fatty tissues burst, and the lipoma disappeared immediately. Dry cups should be applied to the small-size lipoma only.

Hijama cupping therapy is a simple procedure which has immediate physical results. Hijama treatment has been used by people with different cultural backgrounds since prehistoric days. It has been used to cure a variety of diseases. Muslims use it as a Sunnah Rasool. Hijama works by sucking out toxic blood and promoting fresh blood and oxygen to the human body. Noxious and stagnated blood is the primary cause of plenty of illnesses. Removing these risk factors helps to revive health and avoid sickness.

“If there is something excellent to be used as a remedy, then it is Hijama”.

Sunan Ibn Majah. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) explained that Hijama is one of the best medicines.

” The best medicine with which you treat yourself is Hijama, or “The best medicine you can use is Hijama”.
